Walk into the lounge of this bright, modern house and you won’t be able to take your eyes off that view. Perfect for families or friend groups, the three-bedroom cottage sits overlooking the seaside town with superb sweeping views that just don’t get old.

The main floor has a lovely open feel with light flooding in through three windows and plenty of room to relax, including comfy leather sofas and a dining table. The layout works well for families or for friend groups, with bedrooms split between first and lower-ground floor, giving everyone their own space. And a bathroom on each floor too is an added bonus. The crowning glory here is the top floor double room where the dual-aspect windows frame views from the harbour right up to the breakwater. Take a moment to sit in the window and you’ll feel on top of the world – like a monarch gazing over their kingdom.

When you can tear yourself away, it’s a short walk down to town, less than 300 metres – where you can take a boat trip around the bay, explore the museum ship The Golden Hind, or try crabbing off the harbour wall. Wander half a mile up the coast to Breakwater Beach for a spot of paddling or walk right along the half-mile breakwater for a taste of the ocean without getting your feet wet. Sandy beaches and kids’ attractions at Paignton such as the water park and zoo are an easy 6-mile trip, and there are two National Trust houses to explore within 5 miles of the house. History-lovers should head to Dartmouth which has some charming galleries, museums and buildings, as well as a 14th-century castle.

Lovely view. Well equipped cottage. Clean and excellent communication from owner. Steep stairs to all bedrooms, so not for the less mobile.

A lovely place to stay within easy walking distance of the harbour and shops. The view of the harbour from the cottage is stunning. Quaint little niknak shops to pass your time browsing and plenty of places for a snack or meal. We Will be back.

Great location and fabulous views of the harbour. Very close to amenities. Quite steep stairs in the house which were fine for us. Very relaxing. We would recommend this property.

Cottage excellent. Couldn't wish for better views. The parking space is described as small but we managed to get our 7 seater parked ok. Maybe the stairs in the cottage are a bit steep and narrow for those with mobility issues. Another plus is having 2 bathrooms.

We really enjoyed our stay at Gull Haven. The views from every room are stunning, and it is ideally located, being just a short walk from the harbour, shops restaurants and bus stop. The house itself is clean and well equipped. We hope to stay again.

Gulls Haven is perfectly situated overlooking the harbour - the view is amazing! The property is comfortable, well equipped, light and airy, and the best holiday cottage we have stayed in. The parking space is tight even for our Toyota hatchback, and with steep stairs inside and steps and slopes outside it's not the best place for those with mobiliRead morety issues, but for everyone else, it's fantastic! You won't regret staying here it has amazing views! The beds are really comfortable. I could live there its beautiful. First time in Brixham we didnt want to leave . I worried about my car fitting in the parking space but there was enough room , its a Peugeot 3008 . Lots of steep roads to walk on but we enjoyed the challenge. Enjoy we did !

Lovely cottage. Perfect views. Great for extended family because bedrooms separated by a floor. Bathrooms great including showers. A dishwasher would have been an improvement but there is no room for one. Parking is a serious issue around the area and the steep slopes and steps are not for the faint hearted. We have a toddler and the buggy was an iRead moressue. Overall we had a pleasant stay and slept well despite the gulls. Brixham is a sleepy town. Nothing gets moving until 10am and shops close at 5!
