Your home from home, this bungalow in Devon is just a mile from the centre of Brixham — with its harbour, upmarket eateries, trendy bars, range of shops, saltwater pool and historic attractions — and provides easy access to the country and coast. The quiet pebble beach of Man Sands is just over 1.5 miles on foot through the countryside in South Devon’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty; here you can swim, watch birds in the hide and join the South West Coast Path. Or explore a little over 4 miles inland, where you can visit the National Trust's Greenway, once home to the novelist Agatha Christie and take a ferry ride across the River Dart.
Climb the external steps to the bungalow’s front door, which opens onto a hallway. On one side is the lounge with picture windows, a sofa, armchairs and a TV. On the opposite side of the hallway is the master king-size bedroom with ample wardrobe storage for a long stay. At the rear, you’ll find a twin bedroom, a wet room and the kitchen/dining room with a drop leaf table and chairs.
Accessed from the kitchen is the multi-level, picturesque garden. Enclosed by fencing, it backs onto a paddock with resident horses, forming an idyllic backdrop. The garden comprises an area of patio with a wooden balustrade and dining furniture for family meals alfresco; steps leading to a lawn area that’s ideal for playing games; and a more secluded raised upper level, with bench seating in the shade of a huge mature tree offering views of the town, and a fire pit to keep you warm after dark.
In the months of May through to November why not attend one of the many events and festivals in the area like the Brixham Pirate Festival, England's Seafood Feast, Lanterns lights & 'luminations, Dartmouth Music Festival, Dartmouth Royal Regatta, Dartmouth Food Festival, Torbay Air Show, Teignmouth Air show, Devon County Show.
